Sorry. I just thought about it know.

I can't wait to see this.

Warriors dont use Assassin animations when they attack with knives.
For the same reason that Assassins dont use warrior animations with swords.
It just looks awkward.

that would be awesome. Then we can make elementalists do twirls in the air like mesmers whenever they cast spells. Ooh and make rangers throw their fist in the air like warriors whenever they shoot their barrage.

I'd really like to see the ranger that could pull that off with only two hands.

So would a warrior using Shadow Step roll like an assasssin or just run faster and tele like a normal warrior would without the rolls?

When you attack, the male warrior will either just hit with his right-hand dagger like he would a sword or spin and attack twice. The female warrior has a tendency to stab rather than slash with the dagger, and her dual-attack animation is different in that she leaps forwards, hits the enemy and hits them one more time when jumping back. The male dual-attack looks better in my opinion.
When male W/A's use off-hand and lead attacks they turn their backs to the oppenents and spin around with an uppercut-styled attack with the right hand dagger. Don't remember the female attack skill animation, sorry.
I haven't tested all the dual-attack skills but when a male W/A uses Death Blossom he will jump, like, 2 meters into the air spinning with his daggers and lands with them both in an overhead-attack. The female Death Blossom is boring; a leap forward quadruple stabs/slash's and then leaps back.

Uhm, the warriors with daggers DO flip around in the air. Atleast when using Death Blossom.
My warrior is gonna be a W/A. Granted, he'll be using big daggers like Hooked Daggers and not Sai, because that DOES indeed look stupid.
But with Gladiator Armor and some big daggers, I'm sure it could look pretty good in the end. We'll just have to wait and see...
Woohoo, I got quoted!

They rolled during the PVP event and I would think they would roll during the FPE.

Nevertheless they didnt. That and their walk were the two most obvious changes.

i dont know what your talking about, every male uses male assassin animation, same for females. ive tested it myself - tho crits are hard to come by with 0 dagger mastery or critical strikes attribute, i had my warrior flipping like an assassin in his quick 4 hit combo with my preorder daggers.
take a male war, get preorder daggers, use frenzy on an armor suit, and wait for some flips, its pretty cool to see a tin can flip around as if he was lighter than a feather lol
(just tried for a screen, though the flip is too fast for me to catch sorry lol)
edit: not talking about the above post (the walking animation)
talking about, what lyra_song said

Heh, I'm also looking forward to checking out the animation for a 100 pound female assassin wielding a 200 pound hammer.
